Darbat Pump Station & Reservoir Interconnection with ICA System
Wadi Darbat Area, Dhofar
The Darbat water project delivered a modernised pumping and storage interconnection for one of Dhofar's most ecologically significant areas — Wadi Darbat, the seasonal riverway that transforms into a cascade of waterfalls during the annual Khareef monsoon. The project was commissioned by the Directorate General of Water Supply — Dhofar.
Executed over twelve months, the scope included construction of a new pump station, pipe interconnection between reservoirs, and the integration of an Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) system enabling remote monitoring and automated control of the distribution hydraulics.
The project strengthened water-supply reliability and operational intelligence across an area that carries both substantial residential demand and seasonal tourism loads — delivering the kind of smart-utility upgrade that underpins modern water-sector management in Dhofar.
