Ibra Sports Complex
Ibra, North Al Sharqiyah
The Ibra Sports Complex is the newest completed sports complex in the Sultanate of Oman, grandly inaugurated in 2025 with the Sultan's Cup Final under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Al-Fadhl bin Mohammed Al-Harthi, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers.
Covering 262,000 m² in the Al Fulaij area of Ibra, this flagship facility serves the entire North Al Sharqiyah Governorate and positions Ibra as a major sporting and tourism hub some 170 km from Muscat.
The complex mirrors the award-winning Rustaq formula: a 15,000-seat international football stadium with broadcast-grade 1,800-lux floodlighting, a 50 m Olympic swimming pool with ten heated/cooled lanes and 766 seats, a 1,051-seat indoor multipurpose hall, and an administration building with a Sports Medical Centre, saunas, and jacuzzis.
Its first official match took place in 2024, with the Sultan's Cup Final marking its international debut. Ministry of Sports Affairs Director Issa bin Said Al-Salti confirmed the complex is designed to host local, regional, and international competitions and drive regional economic growth.
