The Khasab Sports Complex represents one of AHAR's most logistically challenging achievements — delivering a fully equipped multi-sport facility to the capital of Musandam Governorate, an exclave separated from mainland Oman and accessible only by sea or by mountain road through the United Arab Emirates.
Khasab sits on a dramatic fjord-cut coastline at the very tip of the Arabian Peninsula, surrounded by the Hajar Mountains and overlooking the Strait of Hormuz. Bringing heavy construction materials, machinery, and workforce to such a remote location demanded exceptional supply-chain management and advanced project planning.
The completed complex provides the population of Musandam with modern multi-sport facilities including a football stadium, an indoor sports hall, and supporting athletic infrastructure. The complex serves as a hub for youth development and competitive sport in a governorate with a unique maritime and mountainous character.
As the northernmost completed major project in AHAR's portfolio, the Khasab complex demonstrates the company's capacity to operate well beyond its Dhofar heartland and to deliver to Oman's most remote and demanding environments.
