Port of Salalah — Yard & Terminal Extensions

AHAR delivered four consecutive contracts at the Port of Salalah — one of the Indian Ocean's most strategically important transshipment hubs and among the world's top 50 container ports, managed by APM Terminals with a total annual capacity of 6 million TEU.

The relationship began in 2008 with the Salalah Gate Infrastructure project (completed 2015) — the construction of the port's main access-control system, security perimeter, and entry/exit management facilities, providing the operational backbone for vehicle and personnel movement across the port complex.

Between 2009 and 2016, AHAR delivered the New Lighthouse at Raysut Port for Arabian Maritime and Navigation Aids Services LLC — a modern navigational aid designed by WS Atkins International, serving the port's expanding vessel traffic in the approach channel.

In 2014–2015, the company delivered two parallel landside expansion contracts: the Container Terminal Yard Extension – Block B, significantly expanding the port's container-handling surface, and the Extension of Yard 30/31, providing critical additional stacking area for the port's growing container throughput.

Together, these four contracts reflect a sustained multi-year relationship with the Port of Salalah during a period of dramatic growth — a period that confirmed the port's standing as Oman's largest commercial port and the second-largest transshipment hub in the Middle East.
