Samharam Street Dualization — North Awqad, Salalah
North Awqad, Salalah, Dhofar
The Samharam Street Dualization is a strategic upgrade to one of Salalah's expanding northern corridors, delivered for the Office of the Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar. Designed by Ibn Khaldun Al Madaan Engineering Consultants, the project transformed a key single-carriageway route in the North Awqad district into a modern dual-carriageway boulevard.
Delivered over fifteen months, the programme upgraded the street with full dualization, service roads, pedestrian provision, signalised intersections, and integrated drainage and lighting networks. The project was executed alongside Salalah's broader suburban expansion, serving the growing residential and agricultural belt to the north of the city centre.
On completion, Samharam Street became part of the improved connective spine between Awqad, Sahnawt, and the Salalah–Thumrait axis — a quietly essential artery supporting the daily commute of thousands of residents and the expansion of the northern agricultural plain.
