Sudh Reverse Osmosis Desalination Plant
Sudh, Eastern Dhofar
The Sudh RO Desalination Plant project delivered a critical water resource for the remote coastal community of Sudh, in the Wilayat of Shalim & Halaniyat Islands — one of eastern Dhofar's most isolated populated zones. The project was jointly commissioned by the Office of the Minister of State & Governor of Dhofar and the Directorate General of Water.
Executed over six months, the scope included construction of a seawater reverse osmosis (SWRO) treatment plant with seawater intake, pre-treatment, high-pressure pumping, RO membrane banks, post-treatment, brine discharge, product-water reservoirs, and the MEP systems required for autonomous operation in a remote location.
The plant secured potable water for a community of approximately 6,000 residents who had previously relied on tanker-fed supply — a quiet but essential piece of national water-security infrastructure in one of the Sultanate's most logistically challenging settings.
