Water Supply Distribution Network — Awqad

Awqad District, Salalah, Dhofar

The Awqad Water Supply Distribution Network extended reliable potable water service into one of Salalah's fastest-expanding northern residential districts, commissioned by the Directorate General of Water Supply — Dhofar. The project was delivered by AHAR in technical coordination with Ministry of Defence Engineering Services.

Executed over six months of core construction, the scope covered the laying of a comprehensive distribution network — trunk lines and neighbourhood branches, chambers, isolation valves, service connections, and pressure-management infrastructure — calibrated to the demand profile of a district in rapid residential growth.

The project is part of the broader water-supply modernisation of the Salalah plain, where AHAR has contributed multiple network, reservoir, and pumping programmes. The Awqad network today serves households, schools, and community facilities across one of Salalah's most dynamic urban belts.
